10-26-00: LIZ PHAIR SINGS A TELEVISION THEME SONG
Liz Phair sings the theme song to the NBC television sitcom Cursed, which stars Steven Weber and airs Thursdays at 8:30 PM Eastern / Pacific Time. The song is titled "Misfortune", a jazzy tune, written, arranged, and performed by Liz. [Thanks to the members of Support System for the information.]

10-21-00: IN THE STUDIO
Is the fourth album destined to have a release date history like whitechocolatespaceegg? From Billboard magazine:

Rocker Liz Phair is currently working on her next studio collection, her first since 1998's whitechocolatespaceegg... This set is planned for release during mid-2001. [Thanks to Billboard for the news; Andrea Weiss for finding this information in the magazine; and Jason Long for reminding me.]

09-11-00: LIZ ON VH-1
VH-1 seems to be the only place where you can see Liz Phair on a consistent basis. Liz appeared on two programs: Top 100 Greatest Rock & Roll Moments on TV and Sound Affects. On Top 100 Greatest Rock & Roll Moments on TV, Liz talks about Schoolhouse Rock (what a cool hip thing it was and how sad that there isn't anything like that on the air today) and Eric Clapton's "Tears in Heaven" (how it is a sad song and a beautiful tribute to his son). On Sound Affects, Liz talked about Peter Frampton.

05-18-00: PHAIR'S GOT NEWS: NEW SONGS, NEW ALBUM IN WORKS
Well, all of you have been asking, "When is Liz's new album coming out?" The answer comes from Ellen Warren and Terry Armour, two columnists from the Chicago Tribune (from the May 18th, 2000 issue):

Brace yourself, Liz Phair fans. Inc. hears the homegrown rocker -- and mother of 3-year-old Nicholas -- has written close to 30 new songs and is in the process of choosing the best 12 to 16 for her fourth album, which likely will be released at the end of the year. That's also when Phair will hit the road again, touring to support the disc.

Happy? :) [Special thanks to Ellen Warren and Terry Armour from the Chicago Tribune for the invaluable information.]
